Nicene Christianity
Nicene Christianity is the name given to groups of Christian Churches that follow the Nicene Creed. The Nicene Creed is the result of the First Council of Nicea, in the year 325. It was slighly changed at the First Council of Constantinople in 381. The creed says that Jesus has the same nature as God the Father. Churches who believe this say that Jesus is eternal and divine in the same way than God the Father is. People who do not, say Jesus is different. Examples of Churches that do not follow this are the Oriental Orthodox Churches, the Latter-day Saints movement (also known as Mormons, with the exception of Community of Christ), Jehovah's Witnesses, and Oneness Pentecostals.
